Alexander Voloshinov was born 1936 in Mykolayiv, Ukraine. In 1965 he graduated from Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad.

He presently lives and works in Odessa. His paintings are represented by several Ukrainian art galleries and are part of many private collections in Europe and the United States.
