Serafim Charkin (1945)

The art works of Serafim Charkin radiate with its vitality and divine harmony of colors. His images, depicted in watercolour and oil, are sensual and genuinely lyrical, inspired by artist’s love for nature – its liveliness, energy, beauty.
After graduating from Serov Leningrad Academy of Arts in 1973, Charkin moved to Odessa – a unique-in-every-way city situated on the Black Sea in the south of Ukraine. There, he became an active participant in the artistic life of the city, participating in local and national exhibitions.
Presently, Charkin lives and works in Odessa. He is a Member of the Artists’ Union of Ukraine. His pictures are exhibited in the Ukraine museums and private collections in Europe and the US.
