Raisa Filipenko Podolsky Art collection has been put together by an art collector and consultant, Vera Podolsky, since 1974 with an idea to represent many different layers of Soviet, non conformism art. "No serious evaluation of the twentieth century can ignore the global impact of the Soviet Union in the field of art." (N. Dodge). V. Podolsky brought the collection to the Unites States of America from Odessa, Ukraine in 1989. Since then Podolsky's art collection was featured in numerous art publications and exhibited in Jacob K. Javits Center art shows and other art events. The on-line gallery, launched in 2003, offers over 200 Ukrainian and Russian Realist, Impressionist and Contemporary paintings.
